Trip to Suncheon (October 2021)

My travel blog is far behind the schedule. I am trying to catch up fast.

After our wonderful trip to Yeosu, our next step was Sunchon, my mother's birthplace. We took a train to move from Yeosu to Suncheon. Her younger sister is still alive living in Ssang-Am within the city of Suncheon.

But, we were unable to visit with her because her daughter-in-law was fighting cancer and was reluctant to receive any visitors from outside. The township was encouraging its residents to follow the rule. So they were reluctant to break the instruction. At that time, everyone was trying to avoid any encounters with people.

So my mother had to settle for a telephone conversation with her younger sister.

We enjoyed a Korean traditional full-course meal, called Han-Jung-Sik, with a wide variety of side dishes. It was abundant.

Our travel continues. - Jeffrey
