Ilsan, Korea (December 2021)

Ilsan is part of Goyang-si. It is a planned city within an existing city. Jimin, the older of two younger sisters of mine lived in Ilsan. My mother, Jimin's younger sister, Minsook, spent time together.

The first thing we did was visiting my father's resting place, Chung-Ah Park. We prayed with thanksgiving to him who has given us discipline and principles while we are growing up. Yes, he was tough, but we value his life.

After the visit, we spent some time at one of the  famous bakery nearby, called Forest Outtings. The interior was quite large with high ceilings, but the deserts we had were just beautifully delicious.

The highlight of our gathering was celebrating several occasions. One was the final conclusion of Jimin's 5-year long diverse process. Also, both Jimin and Minsook passed the real estate broker license exam together. We also celebrated the first birthday of Eli, my grandson.

A setting sun reminded me of the setting year of 2021 one day.

While a lot of pending issues remained open and unresolved, I was thankful to God who has been faithful and gracious throughout the year 2021. - Jeffrey
