After a short stay in Korea, I flew to Los Angeles. From there, I flew to Kauai, Hawaii where I met up with Kristin who came from Dallas, Texas. We stayed at Pono Kai, a timeshare we have kept for a long time. It has been almost 20 years since we used it. We have tried to get rid of it for some time since we have not been able to use it while we were living overseas, but we found it a surprisingly beautiful and pleasant condo unit we could use. So we changed our mind and decided to keep it.
Resort Facility - It is not a new facility, but it has been pretty well maintained. Moreover, its scenery right at the seashore makes it quite refreshing and breath-taking.
Its front garden looks also pretty, good for photo-taking.
The resort gets prettier at dusk and at night when the Hawaiian torches are lit.
We could enjoy the sunrise and beautiful ocean view from our own room.
Moreover, we could walk right into the hiking trail by the seashore and enjoy the scenery even closer. We thoroughly enjoyed the hiking.
The tropical flowers are colorful and all over the resort. There are Koi fish in the pond.
Even roosters are roaming around the resort.
There are hammocks and a giant chess square. The resort also has a putting green for 18 holes.
The most exciting joy we had was dining on the back porch enjoying the oceanview and sea breeze. It was ocean-front dining right outside our room. Wonderful!
We may not be able to go to Pono Kai every year, but we plan to use it probably every two years. - Jeffrey
