Hochimin City, Vietnam - War Museum and Farewell (August 2022)

Vietnam reminds people of the Vietnam War. It was a controversial war in the U.S. because American troops had to withdraw defeated. The war was broadcast and interpreted from the American perspective, but the Vietnamese had their own interpretation. This Vietnamese view was well displayed at the War Museum.

One of the strong reasons for the Vietnamese win of the War was their effective use of channels and tunnels. They were designed and built with narrow pathways so that big guys like American soldiers can hardly pass through. Our younger team members squeezed themselves into the tunnel and they managed to pass through.

A lot of traps were used by the Vietnamese during the war. The War Museum displayed some and also weapons used for the war.

The Museum had a shooting range where you can trying to shoot using U.S. or old-Soviet rifles. My colleagues tried AK rifles.

Another symbol for the Vietnam was Aojai for women.

SfK needs to be succeeded by the next generations and the following three are definitely the next generations of people.

After all official programs were completed, we took time to write notes for each of the six members. We all were blessed and grateful to God for each other.

During our Field Trip, I ended up passing the virus to Rev Chung and Sungsoo Kim while I recovered from it. Oh well... It was too bad and I felt sorry for them. By the time I write this blog, however, they all have recovered from COVID-19.

Our 10-day trip has come to an end. It was too bad that we did not have a chance to visit Hanoi where Caleb is now living and serving. But we had to settle for the next opportunity. Thank and praise God for His guidance and blessings. - Jeffrey
