Krka National Park, Near Split, Croatia (February 2026)

On the way to Split, we stopped over at Krka National Park in Skradin, near Split. This national park is famous for stunning travertine waterfalls, particularly Skradinski Buk, with boardwalks allowing visitors to walk over the water and through lush forests. These waterfalls were part of the Krka River.

The waterfalls were beautiful but quite small compared to those in Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. However, the river was so full of water that the water level was high enough to threaten the houses nearby. That was interesting.

On the way to Krka National Park, we stopped at a Croatian farm for lunch. The hostess was so humorous that we all enjoyed her presentation very much.

It is always interesting to experience a different culture. - Jeffrey
