Oaxaca (VII) - Hierve el Agua, Mexico (January 2024)

One of the unique experiences out of our day trip to the east of Oaxaca was visiting Hierve el Agua. It is a mineral springs place.  It is not a hot springs but contains a high level of mineral contents. These mineral contents form white piles that appear to be water falls from a distance. It is a miniature version of Pamukkale in Turkey.

The mineral springs pool is not that big, but enough for people to enjoy.

What appears to be a waterfall is the piled minerals on the rocks.

To reach this place, we had to drive a few hours and had to pass through several municipalities that required entrance fees. In that light, it was an experience, but I would not go there again. - Jeffrey
