Trip to Jeonju, Korea (April 2023)

When I was in college, I was active with a club called Agape Club. Its purpose was to engage in service activities to empower people in poverty in rural areas. Four of us joined the club at the same time and were quite close to each other. Namhyun retired from Yonsei University as a professor, Yoonduck is still running a small business, and Jinbae also worked and retired from Yonsei University. Jinbae served as Deputy President in three different capacities at Yonsei University. After he retired, he has assumed the role of President of Jeonju University, a Christian university. So we went down to Jeonju to fellowship together.

Jinbae treated us well with a nice lunch at a fine Korean restaurant.

Jeonju University has a total of 15,000 students who study in a pretty large campus. One spot had a wall of beautiful flowers.

The campus view from the President's office was quite open and beautiful.

Before we returned to Seoul, we stopped over at a Makgully (Rice Wine) Village. We had enough foods and drinks for four of us for approximately $50. Not bad at all.

It was a delightful reunion for four of us. I pray for God's mercy and wisdom for Jinbae in his role as the leader of this Christian university. - Jeffrey
