Meeting with Shalom Bible Study Members (April/May 2023)

Shalom Bible Study or SBS is a ministry to share bible teaching messages on KakaoTalk six days a week. I have been doing this ministry for the past eight years. The SBS room number has grown to be 17 now and it is a great joy to visit with them in person whenever possible.

SBS Rwanda
This SBS was started with the bible study members while we were serving in Rwanda. The number of members who participated in the Friday SBS totaled 35 who are living all over the place. We had a small gathering with seven of them. They are delightful.

SBS Heart to Heart
This group represents an NGO called Heart to Heart, a ministry to serve children primarily in Asia. Many of them are artists in various fields.

We had another gathering with two sisters whom we met in Rwanda.

SBS Seoul
SBS Seoul includes several people who include SfK fellow workers. Since I already met most of them through different gatherings, I met up with one banker who is Executive Vice President for JB Financial Holdings. He studied business administration, Islam finance, and holds a CFA. With many talents, I wonder how God is preparing him to be used for His Kingdom.

SBS Irvine
We have another group called SBS Irvine. This SBS group was formed after SfK held one of its BTC (Boot Camp Training) at Bethel Church in Irvine, California. Two of them were in Korea and we had a meeting over dinner. One is now serving in the Republic of Georgia and the other (right) is living and working for a U.S. company remotely in Korea. He made a significant donation last year to SfK Ministries. We had a mutually encouraging time.

SBS Rwanda
Jihyun is part of SBS Rwanda but she was traveling to the U.S. when we had a gathering. She met separately with Kristin. Jihyun and her husband Howoo are ones I am watching to see how the Lord may use them for His Kingdom.

Whenever I meet up with SBS members, I can relate to Apostle Paul who had similar joy to visit various places to meet up and encourage his fellow ministers. - Jeffrey
