Camino de Santiago Portuguese Day 11 (September 2024)

Now it was the 11th day. It was the final dash to finish the Camino. Today, the journey was to walk almost 20 km to the Town of Padron.

Mr. Yoon had only 10 fingers and I had to add one finger to indicate the 11th day. We were still smiling.

We were getting used to a long walk and our bodies were adjusting to the rigorous walking days. The day was of fairly easy walk on steadily descending roads.  We passed by many churches and landmarks.

Since it was a relatively easy walk, we decided to have a long break at a cafe.  We saw a group of Korean women who were fully covered with wide hats, masks, tossy, and gloves. It was typical Korean style.

We arrived at a fairly sizeable 4-star hotel. Several tour buses made a stop there and the cafeteria was packed with tourists. The food was excellent, but I refrained from eating and drinking too much because the final day would be fairly long. We had to finish well.

I encouraged Mr. Yoon to come to know God in faith. He was open to it and I said Hallelujah! May the good and faithful Lord bring him to faith in Jesus Christ!

It had been purely God's grace and providence that we were able to walk without a critical problem. This became more apparent several days after the Camino. - Jeffrey
