Our fifth day was supposed to be the easiest journey with a distance of only six km. Moreover, the terrain was flat. So we were feeling relaxed for the day.
The boat dock was close by and we walked over for twenty minutes. I made a reservation the previous day and we were able to get on the boat right away. The river we crossed was called Rio Miño which separates Spain and Portugal in this part of the region.
The boat ride was only 20 minutes, but we left Portugal and arrived in Spain. The time zone changed because Spain is one hour ahead of Portugal. As we walked along the seashores, we found some art drawings made on multiple trees to create coherent images from certain angles.
The most noteworthy event of this short journey was meeting a young Italian mom called Alecia, 26 years old, and her daughter Luna. She was walking the Camino pushing a stroller with her daughter on the stroller. We were astonished. We had a lengthy talk about various topics until we reached a point in town where we had to go our separate ways.
As we checked into a hotel quite early, I found a regional map on a hotel wall.
