Denver, CO USA (November 2018)

We visit Denver every year primarily to report to the LCC that has sent us off as its missionaries. LCC is making financial support for the SfK Ministries.

I gave a presentation to a group of the church leaders on Friday. I had an emphasis on faith-based freedom businesses and it was quite well received.

On Sunday, I was given 10 minutes during the worship service and I shared my life journey and what the LCC support has done through SfK Ministries.

I was thrilled to find out that there are so many new members. We could sense the lively atmosphere of the church with younger people. I am sure it is thanks partially to Pastor Jeremy's effective preaching and his outgoing personality. I praise the Lord!

It was great joy to fellowship with old members of LCC, including Joe and Annie Yang at their house;

Chuck and Eunice Lee at the Tofu House, who have been a faithful financial supporter to SfK Ministries.

They even hosted a dinner gathering for the new comers at their house. Their willing heart to serve has played a pivotal role in keeping the church intact even during the long time of transition without a pastor.

I had a reunion with Dan Lee, VP of Finance and Administration at the Denver Foundation over breakfast. He agreed to be Adviser to SfK Ministries in handling the IRS compliance and accounting matters. I will made an introduction between Dan and Andy.

Mike and Hyngjoo Kim and Rick and Joo Kwon at Magiano's. We thoroughly enjoyed the family style meals.

Lim and Jennifer Ko at Sonodas. Seafood Udon with Okura Ice cream was fabulous!

Through the fellowship, I suggested that the old members form a Team Explore, tentatively named, to explore the ways for SfK and LCC to collaborate over the next several months. Joe, Rick, Chuck, Lim, Mike and their spouses agreed to be part of this effort. Now it is up to me to come up with some ways for us to collaborate. We will begin the journey from January 2019 and continue for five months. Look forward to witnessing what the Lord has in store.

We had lunch with Pastor John J Kim, his wife, Joshua Kim and his wife Elizabeth Kim, David Suh, and Hannah Suh. We wanted to learn more about what Elizabeth had in mind with the impact investors for the missional projects overseas. She will find out what their intent and desire would be.

I had lunch with Pastor David Chong, Senior Pastor of New Life Church in Denver.

and Pastor Kenny Hong and his wife Anne Hong. Our relationship dates back to the OMC in Los Angeles.

We had a brief meeting with Elder Kibok Jang and his wife Nam Sook Jang. Apparently they have been successful in accumulating wealth. They made a financial support.

We had a brief gathering with Bobby Kang, a radiologist who read the CD that has the photos of my internal organs. He used to be my student at the OMC long time ago. He is married to Sammy Lee who is a paper artist. We went to see her art works exhibited at Lakewood Cultural Center.

I had a brief meeting with Keya who takes care of our rental property in Aurora. We agreed to renew the lease without change in the rent.

Before we left, I had a chance to talk to Johan Lee, an elder at New Life Church's English Ministry. He is married to Grace Moon. Johan inspired Amanda to go to the Air Force Academy. I should find some time to get together with him next time I visit Denver.

While we were visiting Denver, we took care of some personal banking needs at Wells Fargo Bank, like adding beneficiaries to the accounts. Also, we added Cindy Moon to the authorized signors of the. FBA account. Theodora, a Burmese girl was very helpful in taking care of the needs. Her boss, a Vienamese American also came by to assist. Theodora was willing to serve as our personal banker. She was planning to visit Chiang Mai in January and we will see if we could get together.

Overall, our trip to Denver was short but quite productive. Praise the Lord!  - Jeffrey
