La Paz and Todos Santos, Mexico (November 2025)

While in Cabo San Lucas, we also made a road trip to La Paz, the capital city of Baja California Sur. It was a two-hour drive from Cabo San Lucas. La Paz is famous for its 5.5 km long malecon, or a shoreline boardwalk. It had many sculptures. I am sure there could be other places of interest, but we did not make an attempt to discover more.

On the way back to Cabo San Lucas, we made a stop at Todos Santos. This town is famous for Hotel California, which they claim inspired the vocal group Eagles to write and sing the song of the same name.

Hotel California is no longer a hotel, but a place with shops.

We also found several shops selling leather products.

Next to the church where the Todos Santos letters were displayed, there were unique sculptures made of metal parts and pieces. They were for sale.

Driving to and from La Paz was a fun journey. I suppose we spent a week in Los Cabos and in the vicinity pretty well. But, the cities and towns were a bit too commercialized for us. - Jeffrey

Sunset Cruise, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (November 2025)

In exchange for attending the resort's timeshare presentation, we received a voucher for a sunset cruise. The ship was called Cabo Rey, meaning the cape king.

The motored catamaran embarked from the marina where the CABO letters were displayed.

Once we got out of the marina, we were floating around waiting for the sunset moment, sipping the drinks and listening to the live music.

Around the Los Arcos, or the Arches, there were many other boats and ships waiting for the sunset.

The sunsets are always beautiful, but the sunset gives me an additional meaning we I get older. I wanted to finish my life on earth well so that my sunset will be as beautiful as the natural sunset. It would be a beautiful landing.

The Los Arcos or the Arches were natural rocks in the shapes of arches made by the wind and the waves. They welcomed us all.

After the sunset, we went downstairs where we dined over gourmet dishes with wonderful entertainment by musicians and dancers. I received a belated birthday cake as well, as a bonus.

This was probably the best sunset cruise we have taken so far. Moreover, it was free. - Jeffrey
