Dallas, TX (January and February 2021)

We welcomed the New Year 2021 in Dallas.

Of course, we ate the rice cake soup or Ddeokkuk.

The greatest joy we had while we were staying in Dallas was Eli, our first grandson. His birth and growth over the few months has brought to us tremendous joy and blessings.

Even after we left in February, we kept receiving Eli's updated photos and it was delightful to see his growth with big smiles.

Not too far away from Amanda's home was a park that had a hiking trail along a lake. We often walked on the trail and we found a lot of birds and it was refreshing to walk along the lake.

While we were in Dallas, there was snow and even a cold storm before we left in February. The entire state went into a panic and a lot of people suffered. Whoa...!

Kristin helped celebrate Amanda's birthday on February 8th.

Also, we celebrated the 100th day of Eli's life as a Korean tradition. In the past, the 100th day of life was a significant milestone for a new baby since many did not make it through this time period for various reasons.

Our son-in-law Ray is a Taekwondo master. He runs a Taekwondo studio.  Once I visited this place and watched young children learn and practice this Korean martial art as a sport. I could envision Eli start learning Taekwondo as soon as he is able to kick.

We had to say goodbye to Amanda and Ray when we left Dallas in February for Greer, SC, our new home.

Until we see each other, farewell! - Jeffrey
