Denver, Colorado, USA (October 2019)

After a week-long visit to two cities of Mexico, we flew to Denver, Colorado.

The primary purpose of our visit was to report to Logos Central Chapel, our sending church, and spend time with the members of Business Mission Team at LCC.

The first meeting was with Chuck and Eunice Lee and Lim and Jennifer Ko couples over lunch. The Ko's went through tough time due mainly to a twisted relationship between their daughter and the son of Jo and Annie Yang. The Yangs ended up leaving the church, but their conflict divided the church.

Later we visited the new church building acquired, again after a hassle within the church. Now Eunice Lee and Lim Ko lead the renovation project along with Minsu and Rick.

Then, we stopped by the Ko's new house that had a panoramic view of the city and the Rockies. We hiked the trail and Lim and I had a good conversation about what happened between their daughter and the son of the Yangs. I prayed that their conflict would be resolved amicably.

I gave a short presentation about how God has used SfK Ministries for His Kingdom during the worship service.

In the Sunday evening, Chuck and Eunice hosted the meeting with the BMT members at his house. Sarah Kim had made a significant progress on videotaping the first lesson on Financial Statements. The BMT also decided to undertake the Impact Purchase project with the products of Touch Nature.

Later, I gave a short presentation about BAM and SfK Ministries to a small group of participants at the house of the Lee's.

We had a dinner with the Rick and Joo Kwon couple and Mike and Hyunjoo Kim couple at Magiano's. The dialogue centered around again the issues that the church had gone through and I prayed for the important issue of harmonizing the renewal and continuity at the church leadership.

We also had a separate meeting with Chuck and Eunice over a meal. Apparently, Eunice has also been disappointed by the lukewarm attitude of the church members on certain issues while she may have also been disappointing other members. At any rate, our conversation appeared to have helped her in gaining comfort and strength. Praise the Lord! They continue to be a consistent supporter of SfK Ministries.

We had a brief meeting with Sammy and Bobby Kang at their house. Apparently, their relationship remains somewhat complicated and I prayed that they would draw strength and wisdom from the Lord for an amicable relationship.

I met up with Kelvin Huh, my former colleague. He bought a motel located remotely in the mountains, but he had to file for the bankruptcy because of the cash flow. I was glad to hear that he had the issue now in the past and is ready to move forward. He was still running the LPO for Pacific City Bank in Los Angeles. Separately, Kristin met with Myungsook Kim and Jung-im Na.

Coinciding with our visit, Denver was facing a snow storm. It had been a while since I had to scrape the windshield because of snow.

We barely left Denver because the snow storm warming turned out to be only a light snowing. Thank God for His grace! - Jeffrey
