Bishkek is the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. This trip was the second time visit to this nation. The primary purpose was to conduct the 2-week boot camp training for Kyrgyzstan Christian entrepreneurs in Issyk-Kul.
I served for this training with SS Kim from Arusha, Tanzania and Steve Kang from Southern California. Both are amazing people of God to me.
Upon arrival in Bishkek, we attended a worship service at a Kyrgyzstan local church that a Korean missionary established long time ago. They were celebrating their Easter Sunday, one week after the Western Easter Sunday.
In Bishkek, I met Jeffrey Yoon and his wife. They have been sent by Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, California. They serve students at schools.
We visited an international school's parking lot market.
We walked around a street art fair. Snow leopard stands out.
After the training, we came down to Bishkek for an overnight sleep and were invited to Anya's house. Her family are Koreans (Koryo-in), who survived the harsh environment when they were forced to move this region. Anya is running a beauty shop and her father runs a big farm in Kzzakhstan. He showed us the video clips of his farm work. We had to end our conversation because of Steve Kang's early morning departure.
We stayed at Korean-run guest houses for both of our visits to Bishkek. At the second place, I found a photo that was beautiful.
Kyrgyzstan has brought the Central Asia to me a lot closer than before. - Jeffrey
