Memphis, TN USA (November 2018)

Tom Phillips is a good friend of mine and a faithful Kingdom Fellow. He is an effective BAMer and  serves the board of SfK Life Corporation. For the past three years, he has been a faithful supporter of SfK Ministries.

I made a quick day trip to Memphis, TN where he lives while I was visiting Atlanta, Georgia.

He founded DCI, Diversified Conveyors International, together with his wife, Beth. The business has grown so rapidly that he witnesses God's guidance and blessings. Tom and Beth have been good stewards of God-entrusted resources and God must have blessed and multiplied the business.

While I was visiting, Tom shared the enormous challenges he had to face and overcome for the past 3-4 months. He felt discouraged far too much to continue but God showed him a beautiful sunrise and a double rainbow. He received them as God's sign of saying "Do not worry, my child." The challenges remain, but Tom is elbowing through them one at a time. He was concerned about the reduced wealth for His Kingdom. We prayed for each other and mutually shared encouragement.

I was deeply grateful for the renewed pledge to make a $500K contribution as part of the Mission Related Investment (MRI) Fund to help achieve the self-sustainability for SfK Life. He provides.

Chris Ordway whom I met in Rwanda while he was working for Hope International. He is now leading One Egg Project, which Tom started to feed mal-nourished children in Rwanda and has expanded to several countries. Chris was helping out Tom while he is making the breakthrough in the midst of challenges. He said he was commuting to Memphis from Chicago on a weekly basis. We briefly met up at the airport before we were leaving Memphis. A wonderful guy and a dependable Kingdom Fellow for whom I am grateful to God.

A day trip worthwhile. - Jeffrey
