Kristin and I made a trip to Bled, Slovenia, along with the Yoons and the Kims to join a Gate1 escorted tour. We all arrived there two days earlier than the meet-up date. Bled is part of the Julian Alps, and the surrounding scenery was just beautiful.
We visited the Bled Castle on top of a cliff by the lake. It was small, but the panoramic view of the lake was wonderful.
We also visited the island in the middle of the lake, where there is a church. Its view from the lakeshore was otherworldly, but there was nothing much on the island.
We walked around the lake, taking approximately one hour. The view of the island changed as we strolled around. God's creation was simply marvellous.
It is a blessing to be able to travel together with these friends once a year. We all got excited about the trip to visit many places as part of the Gate 1 tour. - Jeffrey
